About

The Amazonia Philanthropy Network is a peer-to-peer platform dedicated to effective philanthropy in the Amazon region of South America.
The Amazon forest is approaching ecological and geopolitical inflection points. Effective philanthropy in the region requires coordination, intelligence, trust, and disciplined capital deployment.
To help, we convene experienced donors, family offices, and institutional grantmakers to increase both the volume and effectiveness of philanthropic capital directed to the Amazon biome.
We serve as a platform for peer connection and coordination. We do not serve as an implementing NGO or a funding intermediary, and we do not provide commercial advisory services.

Why Now

Despite growing awareness, philanthropy for the Amazon remains fragmented and under-coordinated relative to the scale of the challenge. High-impact giving in the region requires regional intelligence, trusted local partnerships, cultural fluency, political awareness, coordinated capital deployment and long-term commitment.
We work to address these issues and reduce friction, increase leverage, and elevate outcomes.

Group Action

In addition to supporting research, trips, and RFPs, we work to:
  • Convene curated peer exchanges among experienced donors
  • Facilitate aligned funding strategies
  • Share due diligence insights and field intelligence
  • Strengthen trust between global funders and Amazonian leaders

Our Focus Areas

We support all forms of philanthropy in the Amazon region, with a special emphasis on:
  • Forest conservation and climate stability
  • Indigenous leadership and territorial protection
  • Sustainable economic pathways
  • Governance and policy resilience
  • Biodiversity protection
  • Quality health and education for Amazonians
