APN Webinar: April 8, 2026 at 1pm BRT / 12pm ET
Since 2007, the government of Norway has been one of the largest funding sources of Amazon forest conservation. Their strategies have ranged from sponsoring the Amazon Fund to endorsing the Tropical Forest Forever Facility launch last year, at COP30. In early 2025, Norway’s International Climate and Forest Initiative, NICFI, announced their most recent call for proposals across four main strategies, including: 1) land use change, 2) indigenous people/local community livelihoods, 3) forest crime , 4) and sustainable commodities. Who applied? Which grantees were chosen? What were the grant sizes? How can new donors learn more about them? How can donors collaborate with NICFI and other Norwegian government agencies on the diverse philanthropic efforts that the government has supported over the years? To find out, register below to meet NICFI Director and Special Envoy for Climate and Forests Andreas Dahl-Jørgensen and to learn about these programs, and more.
